The Client

Laces Out is an eCommerce store that sells shoelaces – it was founded, owned and operated solely by the team here at WEBRIS.

We’re the best in the world at what we do. We don’t just sell SEO to clients, we’ve built our own portfolio of revenue generating websites as well (show us another agency who does as well…we’ll wait).

After taking the site to 2,000 sales/month, we sold the business to a competitor.

The Plan

  • Tap into virality of the “sneakerhead” space and position the brand as a premium supplier of shoelaces.
  • Use social media (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube), content and PR on major industry blogs to push visibility and growth.
  • Focus content on usage keywords for specific sneakers (i.e. Jordan 1, Nike Air Max, etc). No one, including the brands, was providing this info.

The Execution

  • Technical SEO // URL architecturing, internal link silo’ing, Structured Data markups, site speed improvements.
  • UX // Custom product page buildouts to allow for semantic rankings, 1 page checkout design, custom designs for resource guides and content.
  • Content // Video creation for YouTube, FB and IG, custom sizing guides, sneaker release calendars, long form blog posts to capture top of funnel traffic.
  • Promotion // Got active in sneakerhead forums, pitched influencer bloggers, created product giveaways, setup Facebook remarketing funnels.
